The 30th Street subdivision was developed with the Yurok tribe as an affordable housing development that would provide tribe members accommodations closer to the economic center of the Arcata/ Eureka area in Humboldt county. The project was envisioned to contain different types of housing,- single family houses, apartment and townhouse style dwellings all located with in a cohesive community. A new bridge to cross adjacent Janes creek, connectivity to existing neighborhood walking paths, and a community building with laundry facility, managers office, and community space were all envisioned as part of the project. We worked with the tribe to develop the site plan, housing prototypes, and cost estimating to develop their grant for funding.
Schematic design, design development, and cost estimating completed at K. Boodjeh Architects.
