This conceptual housing project looks at locating housing over existing parking lots in Eureka’s historic Old Town. The project preserves parking in a busy area of town, but also adds much needed housing. This project is located at the site of Eureka’s old City Hall, which was unfortunately torn down due to seismic considerations in the 1980’s. The project is meant to be a prototype for other developments like it in the area and to show developers one possibility that the City would like to see pursued. This example is 5 stories tall with 42 one bedroom units, 3 two bedroom units, and a rooftop penthouse, bar, or restaurant option.
This project was completed at K. Boodjeh Architects.
